Troubleshooting
The following are suggestions to assist you in troubleshooting
possible operating problems.
If your radio is locked up or the display shows
FL 01/90 (W4, W5,
W7) or
FAIL 01/90 (W9), turn the radio off and then back on. If this
does not correct the condition, take the radio to a qualified radio
technician for service.
If radio operation is intermittent, check with other persons using the
system for similar problems before taking the radio in for service.
Similar problems indicate a system malfunction rather than a radio
failure.
If symptoms persist or, if your unit exhibits other problems, contact a
qualified radio technician.
The cables that connect to the rear of
the radio could have live voltage on
some of their pins. Do not remove or
reconnect these cables. Only a
qualified radio technician should
perform this task. Service performed
by unauthorized personnel may cause
the radio to transmit an emergency
alarm even if the unit is turned off.
