Press the programmed VOX button to toggle the
feature on or off.
NOTE:
If the Talk Permit Tone is enabled, use a trigger
word to initiate the call. Wait for the Talk Permit
Tone to finish before speaking clearly into the
microphone. See Turning Talk Permit Tone On or
Off for more information.
8.4
Turning Radio Tones/Alerts On or
Off
You can enable and disable all radio tones and alerts, if
needed, except for incoming Emergency alert tone . Follow
the procedure to turn tones and alerts on or off on your
radio.
Press the programmed All Tones/Alerts button.
If successful:
The Positive Indicator Tone sounds.
All tones and alerts are turned on.
If unsuccessful:
The Negative Indicator Tone sounds.
All tones and alerts are turned off.

Turning Intelligent Audio On or Off
Your radio automatically adjusts the audio volume to
overcome current background noise in the environment,
inclusive of both stationary and non-stationary noise
sources. This is a receive-only feature and does not affect
transmission audio. Follow the procedure to turn Intelligent
Audio on or off on your radio.
Press the programmed Intelligent Audio button.

Turning Acoustic Feedback
Suppressor On or Off
The feature allows you to minimize acoustic feedback
in received calls. Follow the procedure to turn Acoustic
Feedback Suppressor on or off on your radio.
