Phone Calls
A Phone Call is a call in between an individual radio or a
group of radios and a telephone.
Depending on how the radio is configured, the following
features may or may not be made available:
Access code
Dual Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF) tone
De-access code
Displaying of caller alias or ID on receiving a phone call
Ability to reject or accept a phone call
The Phone Call capability can be enabled by assigning and
setting up phone numbers on the system. Check with your
system administrator to determine how your radio has been
programmed.

Making Phone Calls
Follow the procedure to make Phone Calls on your radio.
When you attempt to make or end a Phone Call without the
access and deaccess codes preconfigured, the attempt
fails and a negative indicator tone sounds.
1 Press the programmed One Touch Access button
to the predefined alias or ID.
If the entry for the One Touch Access button is
empty, a negative indicator tone sounds.
If successful:
The DMTF Tone sounds.
You hear the call waiting tone of the telephone
user.
If unsuccessful:
A negative indicator tone sounds.
The phone call fails. Repeat this step.
2 Press the PTT button to make the call.
3 Release the PTT button to listen.
