Attaching and Removing the Antenna
1. Turn the radio off.
2. Align the bottom part of the antenna to the threaded base on top of the radio.
3. a. To attach the antenna, turn clockwise until snug. Do not force.
b. To remove the antenna, turn counterclockwise.

Attaching the Battery
1. Align the battery contacts with the contacts inside the battery compartment. Insert
the contact side of the battery. Push the battery in gently.
1. Lift up the SIM card slot cover.
2. With the contacts facing down, align the card notched end first and slide the SIM
card into the slot.

Looking After The Radio
Never leave the radio or battery in extreme temperatures (over +60 °C/140 °F),
for example, behind a windscreen in direct sunlight.
The radio is not submersible.
To clean the radio, use a moistened or antistatic cloth.

2. Insert the bottom tabs of the battery cover into the slot. Press down the top part
followed by the middle part of the battery cover.
