Exiting Emergency Mode After Sending
the Emergency Alarm
This feature is only applicable to the radio sending the
Emergency Alarm.
Your radio exits Emergency mode when:
• An acknowledgment is received (for Emergency Alarm
only).
• All retries to send the alarm have been exhausted.
NOTICE:
If your radio is powered off, it exits the Emergency
mode. The radio will not reinitiate the Emergency
mode automatically when it is turned on again.
Follow the procedure to exit Emergency mode on your
radio.
Do one of the following:
• Press the programmed Emergency Off button.
• Change the channel to a new channel that has no
emergency system configured.
The display shows No Emergency.
Privacy
This feature helps to prevent eavesdropping by
unauthorized users on a channel by the use of a software-
based scrambling solution. The signaling and user
identification portions of a transmission are not scrambled.
Your radio must have privacy enabled on the channel to
send a privacy-enabled transmission, although this is not a
necessary requirement for receiving a transmission. While
on a privacy-enabled channel, the radio is still able to
receive clear or unscrambled transmissions.
Some radio models may not offer Privacy feature, or may
have a different configuration. Check with your dealer or
system administrator for more information.
