8 If the Channel Free Indication feature is enabled,
you hear a short alert tone the moment the
transmitting radio releases the PTT button,
indicating the channel is free for you to respond.
Press the PTT button to respond.
If there is no voice activity for a predetermined
period of time, the call ends.
The display shows Call Ended.

Number: , the second line of the display
shows a blinking cursor. Use the keypad to
enter a telephone number, and press to
select the entered number.
If the entry selected is empty, a negative indicator
tone sounds and the display shows Phone Call
Invalid # .
When you press PTT button while in the Phone
Contacts screen, a negative indicator tone sounds
and the display shows Press OK to Place
Phone Call.
