The radio shows a brief message to confirm that
Man Down Beacon was enabled (or disabled).
Resetting the Beacon
If your radio has been programmed with either the
Beacon Reset button, or the Beacon menu option, it
is possible to reset the Beacon. This stops the
Beacon Tone (and also the Visual Beacon)
without
turning the Beacon feature Off. The procedure for
resetting the Beacon depends on how your radio is
programmed. If programmed with a Beacon Reset
button, use the button to Reset the Beacon. When
using the programmable button to reset the Man
Down Alarms, your radio shows a brief confirmation
message. If your radio has been programmed so that
the Beacon can be Reset via the menu, follow the
procedure below.
