Making and Receiving Calls in Non-
Connect Plus Mode
Selecting a Zone
A zone is a group of channels. Your radio supports up
to 32 channels and 2 zones, with a maximum of
16
channels per zone.
1 Access the Zone feature.Press the programmed
Zone button.
2 You hear a tone indicating the Zone change.

Zone 1 to Zone 2.

Zone 2 to Zone 1.
Selecting a Channel
Transmissions are sent and received on a channel.
Depending on your radio’s configuration, each
channel may have been programmed differently to
support different groups of users or supplied with
different features. After selecting the relevant Zone,
select the relevant channel you require to transmit or
receive on.
Turn the programmed Channel Selector Knob to
select the channel, subscriber alias or ID, or group
alias or ID.
Receiving and Responding to a Radio Call
Once the channel, subscriber ID, or group ID is set,
you can proceed to receive and respond to calls.
