Using the Keyboard
Key Assignment
Figure 6 describes the PowerPad keyboard.
Note: Key assignment may vary by application. Therefore, your
keyboard may not function as described.
Power Button
• Hold pressed for 4 sec to
turn Off
• When On, press to Sus-
pend
• When Off or in Suspend
mode, press to turn On
Barcode Scan Key
Up Key
Help Key
(numeric mode)
Clear Screen Key
(alpha mode) or
All (numeric mode)
Numeric Keys
Alpha Keys
Down Key
SHIFT Key
• Press to toggle between alpha and
numeric modes
• In Alpha mode, press to produce capital
letters
• Hold pressed for 2 sec to turn Back-light
On/Off
Blank Space Key
• Blank Space (alpha mode)
• Erase (numeric mode)
