The IrDA port serves for data exchange between the PowerPad and
data network using the Universal Office Dock (UOD) unit.

-based operating system supports multimedia
and audio applications, using a built-in microphone, speaker and
buzzer. A removable CompactFlash (accessed only by service) is
used for memory expansion and operating system updates.
The PowerPad is powered by a 7.2V 1800 mAh Lithium-Ion bat-
tery pack that supports 12 hours of typical operation. The battery is
fully recharged within three hours, using the UOD unit.
