Troubleshooting the UOD
Following are some UOD unit LED status indications, and likely
root causes for the problems they indicate.
Safety Instructions
DANGER - LASER LIGHT WHEN OPEN, AVOID DIRECT
EYE EXPOSURE
CAUTION - LASER LIGHT - DO NOT STARE INTO BEAM
CLASS II LASER PRODUCT, 650 nm LASER, 0.9 mW
MAX. OUTPUT, COMPLIES WITH 21 CFR 1040.10 &
1040.11, IEC60825-1:1993 + A1:1997 + A2: 2001
Do not aim the beam into a human eye
Press the "SCAN" button only when the aperture is aimed at
the barcode
CAUTION - Use of controls or adjustments or performance of
procedures other than those specified herein may result in haz-
ardous radiation exposure

LED Color Status
Solid Red or Blinking Red The UOD has failed start-up or self-test.
Blinking Amber The UOD is unable to communicate over
the Fast Ethernet LAN.
Blinking Amber The UOD is unable to obtain information.
