On Demand Alert Screen Definitions
Alert—Status of the alert.
Ø New—First time message has been dispatched.
Ø Modify—Contains updated information about an existing event, such as an address or
commit time change. Check the screen for new or changed information. Appears only if
the event has not been stop completed.
Ø Cancel—Cancels a previously dispatched event and removes it from the list (only if the
stop has not been stop completed).
Comment—May contain additional information about the event (up to 24 characters) or
future service type information, such as Rapid Dispatch Recovery.
Customer Name
Address
Ready—The time that the customer will be ready.
Commit—The time committed for completion of the service.
Pkgs—The number of packages expected.
Close—The time that the customer facility closes.
Accepting On Demand Events
To acknowledge receipt and accept the On Demand Event enter an “ETA” (Estimated Time of
Arrival). Once you accept the event, the DIAD adds it to the On Demand Event List.
Highlight the bottom line. Then press Soft key ¤ beneath “Ovrride” to tell the center you are
unable to service the event.
Overriding an On Demand Event
If you receive an On Demand message that you are unable to service due to a breakdown or being
out of the area:
1. When “Ovrride” has been selected, DIAD displays Select Override Response screen. Enter a
reason for answering with an override.
