SPEAKER-COMM CALLS (Communications Menu Option
1)
A Speaker-Comm call is one where you use the DIAD’s built-in speaker to transmit package
tracking data and exceptions over a telephone.
1. From the Communications Menu, press 1 (“Phone”). The Speaker Instructions screen will
display.

. Place Receiver Over DIAD Speaker
. Press AutoDial to Dial
. Check Phone for Connection Tone
. If not, Dial X-XXX-XXX-XXXX
. Place Receiver Over DIAD Speaker
. Press Send to Begin Transmission
. Wait for Transmission to Finish

2. Follow the instructions on the Speaker Instructions screen.
Note: The telephone receiver must not be moved during the call.
3. While transmitting data, the DIAD will show this screen:
