MOTOtalk
TM
make and receive a
code call

Press and hold the PTT button.
MT Transmit
appears on the first line of display. Begin
speaking after your handset emits the
MOTOtalk tone.

Release the PTT button to listen.
The tone emitted from your handset when
using MOTOtalk is 4 beeps and sounds
different from the standard tone heard with
on-network Private and group calls.
If you receive an error message:
•
There may be no parties on your
channel or code.
•
You are out of range.
When you receive a code call using
MOTOtalk,
MT Receive
appears on the first line
of the display.
Note: An incoming MOTOtalk call can
be terminated at any time by
pressing {
.
set to receive all
You can set your handset to receive
MOTOtalk transmissions from any handset
that is set to the same channel, regardless of
the code (1-15), by setting the code to
Receive
All
. When you receive transmissions with the
code set to
Receive All
, the display changes
from
Receive All
to the code on which the
transmission was received.
Tip:
You can reply to an incoming call within 6
seconds after hearing the short ending beep
by pressing the PTT button.
Note:
You cannot initiate a code call when the
code is set to
Receive All
. If you press the PTT
button with the code set to
Receive All
, you will
receive an error message.
