Common Radio Features
Conventional Squelch Options
Analog Squelch
Tone Private Line (PL), Digital Private-Line (DPL), and carrier squelch
can be available (preprogrammed) per channel.
Digital Squelch
One or more of the following options may be programmed in your
radio. Consult your service technician for more information.
When in... this condition occurs:
Carrier squelch (C) You hear all traffic on a
channel.
PL, DPL The radio responds only
to your messages.
This option... allows you to hear:
Digital Carrier-
Operated Squelch
(COS)
any digital traffic.
Normal Squelch any digital traffic having
the correct Network
access code.
Selective Switch any digital traffic having
the correct Network
access code and correct
talkgroup.
