Using Settings
• TTY — lets you use your phone with a TTY
device. See “Making TTY Calls” on page 41.
• Notifications — See “Setting Notification
Options” on page 59.
2-Way Radio Features
The 2-Way Radio menu controls how your phone
handles Private calls and group calls:
• Tkgrp Silent — controls whether you hear
group calls to your Talkgroup. See “Receiving
Group Calls” on page 39.
•Tkgrp Area — lets you define your Talkgroup
area.
• One Touch PTT — See “Setting One Touch
PTT” on page 37.
• Alert Type — controls how your phone notifies
you when you receive Private calls and group
calls. See page 105.
Volume Features
The Volume menu sets the volume of sounds your
phone makes:
•Line 1 — sets ring volume for phone line 1.
•Line 2 — sets ring volume for phone line 2.
• Messages — sets the volume of message
notifications.
• Earpiece — sets the volume of sound coming
out of the earpiece.
• Speaker — sets the volume of sound coming
out of the speaker.
•Keypad — sets the volume of sound associated
with pressing keys and buttons.
•Data — sets the volume of sounds that notify
you that you are receiving a circuit data call.
Security Features
The Security menu lets you turn security features
on and off and change passwords:
• Phone Lock — turns on a feature that locks
your phone, either immediately or automatically
after a set period of inactivity. An unlock code is
required to enable this feature, to unlock the
phone, and to set a new unlock code. Contact
your service provider for your default unlock
code.
•Keypad Lock — locks the phone’s keypad,
either immediately or automatically after a set
period of inactivity. See “Locking the Keypad” on
page 14 for more information on locking and
unlocking the keypad.
• SIM PIN — enables and disables your phone’s
SIM PIN security feature. See “Turning the PIN
Requirement On and Off” on page 12.
