Common Radio Features

Selectable Power Level

This feature lets you select the power level at which your radio will

transmit. The radio will always turn on to the preprogrammed default

setting. This feature must be preprogrammed by a qualiﬁed radio

technician.

• Select LL

for a shorter transmitting distance and to conserve

power.

• Select HH

for a longer transmitting distance.

Use the Menu

Use the Preprogrammed Transmit Power Level Switch

1 Press U to ﬁnd PP

2 Press D, E, or F directly

below PP

. The display shows

the current power level (L or H),

along with LL

and HH

3 Press D, E, or F

directly below the desired

power level (LL

or HH

• The new transmit power

level is saved.

• The radio returns to the

home display.

Note: To exit at any time, press h or the PTT button.

Note: The default setting returns when you turn the radio off and on.

1 Press the TX Power Level

switch. The power level is set to

Low.

2 Press the TX Power Level

switch again. The power level

is set to High.
