Common Radio Features

Note: No trafﬁc is heard on trunked channels while Status Calls is

selected.

If the radio detects no Status Call activity for six seconds, an

alert tone sounds until the PTT button is pressed.

Use the Preprogrammed Status Button

If the radio detects no Status Call activity for six seconds, an

alert tone sounds until the PTT button is pressed.

1 Press the Status button. The

last acknowledged status

call, or the ﬁrst status in the

list, is displayed.

2 Press V or U to ﬁnd the

status you wish to send.

Use the keypad to enter the

predeﬁned condition’s loca-

tion in the list.

3 Press the PTT button to send

the status.

When the dispatcher

acknowledges the call, you

will see AA

and

hear four beeps.

• Four beeps

If the call is not

acknowledged, you will see

and hear a

lone, low-pitched tone.

• Long tone

4 Your radio returns to normal

dispatch operation.
