Common Radio Features
Enhanced Private-Conversation Calls (Trunked
Channels Only)
These one-to-one calls between two radios are not heard by others in
the current talkgroup. The calling radio automatically verifies the
receiving radio is active on the system and can display the caller’s ID.
Answer a Private Call
Use the Preprogrammed Call Response Button.
1 When a private call is
received, you hear two alert
tones, the LED flashes
GREEN, the call-received
symbol (m) flashes, and
&$//5(&(,9' is
displayed.
• Two tones
• Flashing GREEN LED
2 Press the Call Response
button within 20 seconds.
If the caller’s name is in the
call list, it will be displayed.
OR
If the name is not in the call
list, the caller’s ID number
is displayed.
3 Press and hold the PTT
button to talk; release it to
listen.
4 Press h or the Call
Response button to hang
up.
