General Radio Operation
LED Indicators
Alert Tones
Your radio uses alert tones to inform you of radio conditions.
This LED Color: indicates:
RED (Non-flashing) Transmitting
RED (Flashing) • Channel Busy
or
• Low Battery (lights while transmitting)
GREEN Receiving Individual Call

You hear: Tone Name Heard :
Short,
Low-Pitched
Tone
Invalid Key-Press when the wrong key is
pressed.
Radio Self-Test Failed when the radio fails the
power-up self test.
No ACK Received when the radio does not
receive an
acknowledgment.
Reject when an unauthorized
request is made.
Time-Out Timer Warning four seconds before time
out.
