is used to indicate the radio’s home display.
SELECTING A ZONE AND MODE
A
mode
is a channel or talkgroup and all the
features that are programmed to it. A
zone
is a
grouping of modes that is selected using the menu
keys. Before you use your radio to receive or send
messages, you should first select the desired zone
and mode.
