Making a Privacy-Enabled (Scrambled)
Call
Toggle privacy on using the programmed privacy button.
Your radio must have the Privacy feature enabled for
the currently selected channel position to send a privacy-
enabled transmission. When privacy is enabled for the
currently selected channel position, all voice transmissions
made by your radio will be scrambled. This includes Group
Call, Multigroup Call, talk-back during scanned calls, Site
All Call, Emergency Call, and Private Call. Only receiving
radios with the same Key Value and Key ID as your radio
will be able to unscramble the transmission.
