Cloning Radio using the Radio to Radio
(R2R) Cloning Cable (Optional Accessory)
Operating Instructions
1. Before beginning the cloning process, make
sure you have:
• A fully charged battery on each one of
the radios.
• Two Single Unit Chargers (SUC).
• Turned OFF the radios and,
• Both radios are of the same radio
model.
2. Unplug any cables (power supply or USB
cables) from the SUCs.
3. Plug one side of the cloning cable mini
connector to one SUC. Plug the other end to
the second SUC.
Note: During the cloning process no power is
being applied to the SUC. The batteries will
not be charged. A data communication is
being established between the two radios.
4. Turn ON the Target radio and place it into one of
the SUCs.
5. On the Source radio, power the radio following
the sequence below:
• Long press the PTT button and SB2
simultaneously while turning the radio
ON.
• Wait for 3 seconds before releasing the
buttons until a distinctive audible tone is
heard.
6. Place the Source radio in its SUC, press and
release SB1.
