Common Radio Features
Send a Silent Emergency Alarm
Send an Emergency Call
An Emergency Call will send a type of dispatch giving your radio
priority access to channels.
1 With your radio turned on,
press the Emergency
button. The LED does not
light, and you hear no tones.
• LED does not light
• No tones
Note: To exit emergency at any time, press and hold the
Emergency button for about a second.
2 The silent emergency state
continues until you:
Press and hold the
Emergency button for about
a second to exit the
emergency state.
OR
Press and release the PTT
button to exit silent
emergency and enter regular
dispatch or emergency call.
• Press and hold Emergency
button
OR
• Press and release the PTT
button
1 With your radio turned on,
press the Emergency
button. A short, medium-
pitched tone sounds.
• Short tone
Note: To exit emergency at any time, press and hold the
Emergency button.
2 Press and hold the PTT
button and announce your
emergency into the
microphone.
