Common Radio Features
Use the Preprogrammed Status Button
Note: No traffic is heard on trunked channels while Status Calls is
selected.
If the radio detects no Status Call activity for six seconds, an
alert tone sounds until h or the PTT button is pressed.
1 Press the Status button. The
last acknowledged status
call, or the first status in the
list, is displayed.
2 Press V or U to find the
status you wish to send.
OR
Use the keypad to enter a
number corresponding to the
location in the status list.
3 Press the PTT button to send
the status.
When the dispatcher
acknowledges, four tones
sound, ACK RECEIVED is dis-
played, and the radio returns
to normal dispatch operation.
OR
• Four tones
If no acknowledgment is
received, you will see NO
ACKNOWLDG and hear a low-
pitched tone.
• Single tone
4 Press h to go to the home
display
