36 Chapter 3 Using your Tablet PC
The battery status light on the Tablet PC is blinking amber when the Extended Battery
is installed and AC power is applied to the tablet.
• The Extended Battery may have failed. Use the status lights on the Extended Battery to
verify its condition.
• The Extended Battery is in self-conditioning mode. Allow the battery to deplete its
charge to less than 25%.
The Tablet PC does not start correctly while the Extended Battery is in self-
conditioning mode.
• The system BIOS and Motion Dashboard may be out of date. Download the latest drivers
and BIOS from www.motioncomputing.com/support.
• The Extended Battery is in self-conditioning mode. Allow the battery to deplete its
charge to less than 25%.
If the three LEDs (indicated with arrows) are
illuminated, the battery has failed and must be replaced.
