Front panel buttons
The buttons on the Tablet PC don’t do what I expect them to do
• The button functions may have been customized. You can use the Tablet and Pen
Settings window to change the buttons to the desired functions. See Configuring the
front panel buttons on page 32.
Ports and connectors issues
The Tablet PC doesn’t recognize the USB device
• Windows® 7 may take a short time to recognize the USB device. Wait a few moments to
see if the device is recognized.
• The device may not be connected properly. Check the connection and ensure it’s
inserted properly into the USB port.
• The correct driver might not be included with Windows® 7. Check the manufacturer’s
website for a current driver.
The J3600 is in its dock, but the Tablet PC doesn’t recognize any accessory devices,
such as the external disk drive or monitor
• The J3600 may not be fully seated in the dock. Remove it from the dock and then replace
it.
The system doesn’t recognize the Express card I inserted
• The card might be inserted improperly. Eject the card and re-insert it. Ensure the label
side is up. See Using the Express card reader (optional) on page 64.
• The device may not have been tested for Windows® compatibility. For a list of tested
products, go to the Windows® Marketplace Tested Products page at
winqual.microsoft.com/hcl.
Network issues
The wireless adapter keeps connecting even when I don’t want it to
• Disable the desired wireless adapter from the Motion Dashboard. Open Motion
Dashboard, tap Wireless and clear the checkbox next to the wireless adapter that you
want to disable.
I can’t connect to a wired Ethernet network
• The connection may be loose. Remove the Ethernet cable and reconnect it.
• The Ethernet network may be experiencing issues. Check with someone near you to
determine if he or she has network access.
• Replace the Ethernet cable.
