Charging the battery
When the J3600 is connected to AC power, the battery automatically charges until it
reaches full charge, even if you’re using the Tablet PC. While the battery is charging, the
battery status light flashes amber.
If two batteries are installed and the Tablet PC is on, the tablet is designed to keep both
batteries nearly equally charged by staggering the charging sequence as follows:
1. The battery that the Tablet PC was last using charges to 90%.
2. The other battery in the Tablet PC charges to 100%.
3. The first battery charges from 90% to100%.
4. If there is a battery in the docking station, it charges to 100%.
When the J3600 is off or in Hibernate mode or Sleep mode, the batteries are charged
simultaneously. If there is a battery in the docking station, it’s charged at the same time as
the batteries that are installed in the Tablet PC.
CAUTION: To avoid injury, keep the battery within the recommended temperature range
while it’s charging. If the battery has been subjected to a hot environment, wait until it cools
to room temperature before recharging it. For more information, see the Safety and
Regulatory Guide included with the Tablet PC.
