Connect the wire feeder to the welder as explained in the
following while the welder is turned off:
- Welding cable between the machine’s (9) welding plug (+) and
the wire feeder (20m - 50mm

cable supplied with the WIRE
FEEDER).
- Control / power cable between the 16-pole connector (T6)
of the machine and the corresponding connector on the wire
feeder (20m cable supplied with the WIRE FEEDER).
- Welding cable between the machine’s (10) welding plug (-) and
the piece to be welded. (not supplied with the WIRE FEEDER).
- Connect the gas cylinder to the wire feeder following the
instructions given in the manual.
Start the welder
Select one of the two MIG / FLUX CORED welding modes:
- MIG / FLUX CORED: in this mode the voltage is always present
on the welding sockets
- MIG / FLUX CORED CONTACT: in this mode the voltage on the
welding sockets is present only after pressing the torch trigger.
The adjustment of the welding parameters, voltage and current
(wire speed) must be performed directly on the wire feeder.
The setting of the welding voltage on the EVO MULTI4 front
panel is automatically inhibited.
