User Guide
• To indicate that the iron is cooling down
the arrow below the thermometer will
flash. This is perfectly normal as it shows
that the iron is maintaining the heat
setting you have chosen.
• When your iron reaches the correct
temperature for the first time it will beep
twice. The arrow icon will also stop
flashing to show that the iron has
reached the correct temperature.
To adjust the temperature setting
depress the FUNCTION button ‚ a beep
will be audible every time the function
button is pressed. The temperature will
cycle up and down
(MAX - 3 dot - 2 dot - 1 dot - 2 dot...etc.)
and will be indicated on the LCD display. C
It is always a good idea to begin with
cool fabrics and work up to higher settings.
An iron heats up quicker than it cools
down so you’ll save time and electricity.
Features of your iron
Dry ironing
You can use your iron as a dry iron only.
Make sure the variable steam control ¤ is
set to the ‘0’ symbol.
Any temperature setting may be used
depending on the garment. The spray
feature may be used provided there is water
in the tank (see filling section). You do not
need to put any water in the tank when dry
ironing only.
Spray
Press the spray button ‹ and aim the
spray of water at stubborn creases. You can
do this whilst dry ironing providing there is
water in the tank. When using the water
spray it may be necessary to push the
button a few times to get the spray pump
primed.
Variable steam
Fill the iron with water as described in
‘Filling’, page 4 and insert the plug into the
electrical socket.
Press the function button ‚ until the
2-dot, 3-dot or MAX setting is displayed (as
required) and rest the iron on it’s heel whilst
it warms up. The heating up arrow icon
will disappear when the iron is at the correct
temperature.
Move the variable steam control ¤ to
give the desired amount of steam. D
The steam facility should only be used
on garments which are suitable for ironing
at 2-dot, 3-dot and MAX setting.
Extra steam boost
When the variable steam slider ¤
reaches the end of its normal travel,
pushing it further forward creates additional
steam sometimes required to remove
difficult creases.
The slider automatically
returns to normal steam when
finger pressure is removed.
Note: For optimum
performance, do not hold the
steam slider in the boost position, release it
immediately at the end of it’s travel.
