If necessary, to separate the extension tube (18) from the handheld vacuum cleaner (13), press the extension tube release button (10) and pull the extension tube away from the handheld vacuum cleaner.
VC731007MUK Rev1.qxp_Instruction Book 12/12/2017 09:38 Page 8 Extended reach handheld vacuum cleaning For extra reach whilst cleaning high areas like coving etc, push the crevice tool and dusting brush or upholstery brush into the extension tube suction end (20) and attach the extension tube (18) to the handheld vacuum cleaner. To remove the accessory again, press the floor brush release button (19).

The guarantee may be invalidated if the motor is damaged due to: using the appliance without the filter(s) installed; not cleaning the filter(s); or not replacing a damaged filter.

Maintenance - main filter(s) The guarantee may be invalidated if the motor is damaged due to: using the appliance without the filter(s) installed; not cleaning the filter(s); or not replacing a damaged filter. Cleaning the main filter(s) To maintain suction, the main filter(s) must be cleaned each time the dust canister (15) is emptied. 1. Follow ‘Emptying the dust canister’.
VC731007MUK Rev1.qxp_Instruction Book 12/12/2017 09:38 Page 11 Remove the brush bar cover (26b) and lift the rotating brush bar (26c) out. Pull away any hairs or fibres from the rotating brush bar. If they are tightly wound around the brush, carefully snip the fibres with scissors, being careful not to damage the rotating brush bar, pull away from the rotating brush bar and dispose of. Replace the rotating brush bar and brush bar cover in their original position and re-lock the locking button (26a).
