here may be a lack of oil or
too much water.
• Chip size may be too large.
• You may be using the wrong
type of potato.
• E
nsure chips are dried after
rinsing with water. Possibly
add a little more oil to the
chips before cooking.
• Try cutting the potato into
smaller pieces for a crispier
result.
• When making home-made
chips/fries, the best type of
potato to use are the floury
varieties (King Edward or
Maris Piper).
