Chapter4 Troubleshooting Guide
3. Error Messages
When a paper jam has occurred or the top cover is open, an error message is displayed on the LCD display.
Follow the procedures below to x the error. If you cannot solve the trouble, contact your dealer.
Message Cause Solution
No paper When the power is turned on, there
is no paper on the paper feed tray.
Stack paper on the paper feed tray.
No paper/****(the number of folded
paper)
After paper is fed and folded, there
is no paper left on the paper feed
tray.
Stack paper on the paper feed tray.
Feed tray error When the paper feed tray is lowered,
the key or key was
pressed.
Lower the paper set lever. The paper
feed tray will go up.
Top cover open The top cover is open. Close the top cover.
Feed error A paper jam has occurred at the
paper feed section.
Remove the jammed paper and
press the C key. ( p.4-1
A mis-feed has occurred at the
paper feed section.
Stack paper properly on the paper
feed tray and press the C key.

Jam exit A paper jam has occurred at the
paper exit section.
Remove the jammed paper and
press the C key. ( p.4-7)
Plate1 set error The rst folding plate has not been
installed properly.
Install the rst folding plate properly.

Plate2 set error The second folding plate has not
been installed properly.
Install the second folding plate
properly. ( p.1-5)
Plate1 cable err The control cable of the rst folding
plate has not been connected
properly.
Turn o the power and connect the
control cable properly. ( p.1-6)
Plate2 cable err The control cable of the second
folding plate has not been
connected properly.
Turn o the power and connect the
control cable properly.( p.1-6)
Main motor err A paper jam has caused the main
motor to become overloaded.
Remove the jammed paper and turn
o and on the power.
Stack motor err A paper jam has caused the
positioning motor of the stacker to
become overloaded.
Remove the jammed paper and turn
o and on the power.
Plate1 motor err A paper jam jam has caused the
stopper motor of the rst folding
plate to become overloaded.
Remove the jammed paper from the
leading end of the rst folding plate,
then turn o and on the power.
Plate2 motor err A paper jam has caused the stopper
motor of the second folding plate to
become overloaded.
Remove the jammed paper from the
leading end of the second folding
plate, then turn o and on the
power.
