HOTPLATE
Faulty connection at
thermocouple valve.
Make re-connection
Burners will not stay
alight.
Thermocouple incorrectly
located.
Re-position thermocouple
Blockage in tap. Clean and re-grease.
Burner goes out when
turned too “low”.
By-pass too low Adjust by-pass screw.
Burner ring, cap not located. Re-locate
Irregular flame.
Low pressure. Check pressure at Test Point.
OVEN
Accumulation of dirt or grease
around burner ports
Clean
Failure to ignite
Connection broken or
disconnected
Replace Lead/reconnect
Loose thermocouple Tighten thermocouple
Electro-magnetic unit failure Replace gas taps.
Burner fails to establish
on minimum rate.
By-pass too low Adjust by-pass screw.
Oven too hot or cold Thermostat calibration out Re-calibrate or replace
Loose thermocouple Tighten thermocouple
Main burner will not stay
alight
Thermocouple incorrectly
located.
Reposition thermocouple
