DESCRIPTION:
SEND ALL PRESETS allows you send the System Exclusive (SysEx) data for archiving
the complete bank of Presets in the MP-201. Before selecting this function, enable
the device that will receive the SysEx data. Once the remote device is enabled, press
ENTER to start the data transfer.
While the SysEx transfer is taking place, the LCD will display a ‘SENDING PRESETS’
message shown. When the transfer is complete, the LCD will return to the Utilities
menu.
The SEND BULK DUMP function allows you save the entire state of the MP-201
(includes global and Preset data) via SysEx data. Before selecting this function, enable
the device that will receive the SysEx data. Once the remote device is enabled, press
ENTER to start the data transfer.
While the SysEx transfer is taking place, the LCD will display a ‘SENDING BULKDUMP’
message as shown. When the transfer is complete, the LCD will return to the Utilities
menu.
SEND PRESET allows you to send the SysEx data for the currently selected Preset for
archiving. Before selecting this function, enable the device that will receive the SysEx
data. Once the remote device is enabled, press ENTER to start the data transfer.
While the SysEx transfer is taking place, the LCD will briey display a ‘SENDING
PRESET’ message as shown. When the transfer is complete, the LCD will return to the
Utilities menu.
SEND FIRMWARE allows you to backup the operating system of the MP-201 via SysEx
data. Before selecting this function, enable the device that will receive the SysEx data.
Once the remote device is enabled, press ENTER to start the data transfer.
While the SysEx transfer is taking place, the LCD will display a ‘SENDING FIRMWARE’
message as shown. When the transfer is complete, the LCD will return to the Utilities
menu.
NOTE: For best results, do not send/receive SysEx data when
any current Channel has an active LFO sending MIDI CC data.
