PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Moog introduces the Lightweight Targeting Tripod (LTT); the latest in ultra-lightweight man-portable tripods. A precision
pointing device; The LTT can accurately position payloads weighing up to 25 lbs (11.3 kg.) with high repeatability in both
azimuth and elevation. Its exible architecture allows the operator to use it in a variety of missions and congurations.
The LTT is an extension of Moog strong positioning legacy combined with unique new features that give it the performance
edge needed for rapid deployments and covert operations. A proprietary drive mechanism provides unlimited positioning
in both coarse adjustment, which can be used for initial acquisition, and ne adjustment, a necessary feature for
continuous target tracking. It is constructed of rugged non-magnetic materials that will not interfere with the operation of
a digital magnetic compass.
The LTT was developed for a wide range of uses that require precision pointing of imaging, sighting and targeting
payloads. A well thought out combination of composite and metal components delivers a product with optimized weight
and performance.
Facts:
In addition to unlimited coarse and ne positioning adjustments, the drive mechanism holds the payload in
place without the need for additional action by the operator. This is a plus under any condition but is a must for time
sensitive operations where stress is at a high level. The LTT also has a Picatinny Rail or Grabber and ¼” x 20 screw
base to meet the mounting requirements of many U.S. Army handheld devices.
