Engineering Specications
FD8:
The FD8 housing shall be an outdoor housing and the
IFD8 an indoor housing, both available in either wall
or pendant mounted versions. The PFD8 pressurized
housing shall be a pendant mount housing. The
FusionDome™ units shall be designed to accommodate
unitized camera systems by manufacturers such as
Sensormatic/AD, Pelco, JVC and Trinus; and xed
cameras with a maximum camera length of 7.5”.
Adapter brackets for the unitized camera systems shall
be included with each unit. Outdoor enclosures shall
also be equipped with blowers and thermostatically
controlled heaters. Units will be available with 24VAC
inputs. The housings shall be manufactured from
a high-impact engineered plastic, UV protected (for
outdoor models), with a UL ame rating of 94V0 . The
dome shall be made of a thermoformed, optically clear,
cell-cast acrylic material. The dome shall be held in
place with minimum of (3) fasteners for the FD8 and
IFD8 and a minimum of (9) fasteners for the PFD8, and
a safety cable shall be provided to hold the dome while
servicing. Access to the enclosure shall be from below
with (3) captive fasteners for the FD8 and the IFD8 and
(9) captive fasteners for the PFD8 used to press the
dome against a sealing o-ring. A twist-off feature shall
allow for the nal removal of the dome.
For the pressurized PFD8 model, a secondary O-ring
seal shall be provided at the top of the enclosure through
a precision machined bracket. This machined bracket
shall also be provided with a 3 to 5 psi pressure-relief
valve and a standard bore thread dill valve to insert inert
dry nitrogen into the enclosure. All incoming wires will
enter the unit via a 10-pin hermetically sealed connector.
A quick-release bracket will be provided at the top of the
unit for ease of installation and quick removal of the unit.
