FixedWingAircraft
Afixed‐wingaircraftisaheavier‐than‐aircraftwheremovementofthewingsinrelationtotheaircraftisnotusedto
generatelift.Thetermisusedtodistinguishfromrotary‐wingaircraft,wherethemovementofthewingsurfaces
lane
relativetotheaircraftgenerateslift.Thef
ixedwingaircraftcanrangeinsizefromthesmallestexperimentalp
tothelargestcommercialjet.
Thedynamiccharacteristicsofthefixedwingaircraftdependonthetypeofaircraft(suchasglider,propeller
aircraft,andjetaircraft)andmissionphases(suchaslaunch,landing,andmaneuver).Forbestresultsperdynamic
