 If the red LED is illuminated (beside the fuse) you have power
to the panel�
 If no LED, check fuse and replace with equally rated fuse�
 Turn the wall switch to the on position�
 Wall switch and combustion air LED light up immediately�
approximately 30 seconds later when the power vent reaches factory
set speed. The ue gas switch LED will light up approximately 1
minute after ue gas LED is lit and the gas valve will turn on. You
can hear a clicking sound and the Hot Surface Ignitor will glow red�
This conrms the control system operation. Note: If the ue gas LED
does not light up after 1 minute, slowly increase the power vent speed
until the LED turns on� Speed controller located inside the control
box, see gure 15a
 The control panel is supplied with a power cord plug in�
 Plug it into an extension cord or any other 110 Volt power supply�
Note: No gas is needed to test the system
The R720*/R820* Control and Power Vent System can be safely
tested prior to nish framing the Fireplace. This test can be done
quickly and efciently to ensure all systems function according to
the design specications.
The replace should be installed on the rough-in frame, Figure 3 with
the Power Vent Module and the Vent run connected�

6-1: Testing the system before gas connection
 If the red LED is illuminated (beside the fuse) you have power

 If no LED, check fuse and replace with equally rated fuse�
 Turn the wall switch to the on position�
 Once the replace is running normally, conrm manifold pressure
and supply pressure�
 Turn gas supply valve on
 The control panel is supplied with a power cord plug in�
 Plug it into a extension cord or any other 110 Volt power supply�
