Section 3-5: Heat Shields

The RHS102 Heat shield must be used if vent pipe passes through
a wall or ceiling within 6' of the unit.
To install the RHS102, Slide the Inner Section over the vent pipe
that will connect to the replace. Then fasten the vent pipe to the
back of the replace with a minimum of three sheet metal screws.
From the outside slide the RHS102 outer section on. To complete
the installation fasten the Heat Shield Outer Section & inner section
to the structure. See Figure 14.
 RHS102 Installation. (Install by sliding over vent pipe
where it passes through the combustible construction).
