A great introduction into the world of model making, the
Polaris glider by Thunder Tiger is both simple to build and a
great performer in flight. Thanks to modern precision laser
cutting all parts are pre-cut ready to start construction. The
build is straight forward and thanks to careful selection of
lightweight balsa weight is kept to a minimum.
The Conquest glider has been designed with modern
construction techniques for a new generation of modellers
to experience the fun of tow-line gliders. As with the original,
the new Conquest is designed for easy construction with its
simple balsa sheet fuselage sides and the large 760mm
wingspan ensures stunning performance should you find a
thermal. Thanks to modern precision laser cutting all parts
are pre-cut to ensure quick assembly and a perfect fit.
A step up from the Polaris but with simpler construction
than the Conquest the Wisp is a great introduction to built
up balsa kits. The fuselage is sheet balsa for strength but
the wings are built up like the more advanced kits but a
simplified design makes them less daunting for a first time
builder. Like the other kits laser-cut parts help to speed up
build time and make the build easier.
The Cadet uses a traditional balsa stringer construction,
the fuselage is built in both halves on the plan and joined
together for a lightweight strong design. As with the other
Thunder Tiger glider kits the parts are precision laser cut
from balsa wood for a perfect fit first time. The fuselage is
also big enough to fit micro radio control equipment if you
so choose.
