Place the packaged ooring at in the room for a minimum of 48 hours prior to installation. Do not remove the plastic
wrapping. Be sure that the room temperature is in the range of 65-75°F (18-20°F) during acclimation and installation.
Post-installation, room temperature must be maintained between 65°F and 85°F; laminate flooring should not be
installed in rooms where the relative humidity exceeds 70%.
Rooms measuring wider or longer than 30 feet (9 m) require the use of T-moldings to allow for normal expansion and
contraction of the floor.
Be sure to stagger boards by a minimum of 12 inches (300 mm).
Allow a minimum of 5⁄16 inches (8 mm) expansion space around the perimeter of the room and any fixed objects such as
posts.
When installing over concrete use a vapor barrier.
Do not install cabinets directly on laminate flooring.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Sweep, dust or vacuum the floor regularly with the hard floor attachment (not the beater bar) to prevent accumulation
of dirt and grit that can scratch or dull the floor finish .
Use a damp cloth to blot up spills as soon as they happen; never allow liquids to stand on the floor.
Laminate flooring may be lightly damp-mopped with a mixture of 1⁄2 gallon of water with 1⁄4 cup of household vin-
egar, spraying the mixture first on the mop, then applying the mop to the floor. Do not spray directly on the flooring.
Laminate cleaners may be used but product can build up on the surface of the flooring. Never use steam mops, wet-
jet type mops or any product that sprays water directly on the floor.
