IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
OVEN
• Stmad away from the range when opening the
oven door. Hot air or steanl which escapes
can cause burns to hands, lace and/or eves.
• Never open door broil. Open door broiling
is not i)erniitted due to excessive control
knob teinperatures.
• Children in walkers, or children crawling,
cma be attracted to the round oven door
handle mid may grab and open the oven
door. This can result ill iI_jury fronI tile door
being pulled open on a child, or severe
burns if the oven is ill use and hot.
• Do not heat unopened food containers.
Pressure could build up and tile container
could burst, causing an iI_jury.
• Keep the oven vent unobstructed.
• Keep the oven free from grease buildup.
• Place the oven rack in the desired position
while the oven is cool. If racks nlust be
handled when hot, do not let pot holder
contact tile heating elelnents.
• Slide the oven rack out to the stop position.
This will provide additional clearance to hot
oven walls and niake it easier to lilt ()/it heavy
or large dishes.
• When using cooMng or roasting bags in the
oven, fi)llow tile inanufi_cturer's directions.
• Do not use your oven to dry newspapers.
If overheated, thev can catch on fire.
• Do not use oven for a storage area. ltelns
stored in an oven can ignite.
• Do not leave paper products, cooking
utensils or food in the oven when not in use.
SEI =CLEANING OVEN
• Do not clean the door gasket. Tile door
gasket is essential fi)r a good seal. Care
should be taken not to iub, danlage or
nlove the gasket.
• Do not use oven clemmrs. No conlnlercial
()veil cleaner or ()veil liner protective coating
of any kind should be used ill or around any
part of the oven. Residue froni oven cleanei_
will daniage the inside of the oven when the
sell=clean cycle is used.
• Clean oMy parts listed in this Owner's
Manual.
• Before self-clemlh_g the oven, reniove tile
broiler pan and other cookwai'e.
• Be sure to wipe up excess spillage before
starting the self-clemfing operation.
