EARLY STARTUP MENU
To access this menu, hold the [FUNCTION] key while powering up the Monomachine.
From here you can perform a variety of maintenance tasks. To choose the different alterna-
tives, press the corresponding [TRIG] key.
TEST MODE
To enter this mode, press the first [
TRIG] key. If you have any trouble with your Monoma-
chine and suspect it may be due to a hardware problem, perform this self test. Everything
should come up as shown below. If not, contact Elektron support.
Here you can also check that every button and knob work as intended. Press the buttons
and turn the knobs and the <TRIG> and <TRACK PAGE> LEDs should light up accord-
ingly. If something does not work as supposed, please contact Elektron Support.
On the SFX-6 the joystick may need calibration. To calibrate the joystick turn it around one
lap reaching its extremal points and then press both [OCTAVE] keys at the same time. A
star appears in the lower right corner of the display indicating that the calibration is done.
EMPTY RESET
To perform this operation, press the second [
TRIG] key. This reset will clear all kits, pat-
terns, songs and global settings. Factory or user waveforms will still be retained in memory.
FACTORY RESET
To perform this operation, press the third [TRIG] key. This reset restores all patterns, kits,
songs and global settings to the factory presets that was preinstalled when the Monoma-
chine originally shipped. User waveforms are erased and factory waveforms are initialized.
SOFT RESET
To perform this operation, press the fourth [TRIG] key. This is a milder form of reset which
will retain all data inside your Monomachine.
