Appendix A: MACHINE REFERENCE A-13
CHORUS
The Chorus machine implements a 2 x 3 tap
stereo chorus.
DEL - Delay
DEP - Depth
SPD - Speed
MIX - Dry / Wet Signal Mix
FB - Feedback
WID - Stereo Width
LP - Low Pass Feedback Filter
INP - Input Signal Amplification
The Delay (DEL) parameter controls the
Chorus taps delay time.
The Depth (DEP) parameter sets the depth
of the modulation of the Chorus taps.
The Speed (SPD) parameter sets the low
frequency modulation speed of the taps.
Signal Mix (MIX) adjusts the output between
the original “dry” signal and the chorused
“wet” signal. The best settings are often
found in the middle, where the Chorus inter-
acts with the original signal.
The Feedback (FB) parameter controls the
Chorus delay taps feedback.
The Stereo Width (WID) parameter controls
the Stereo Width output of the Chorus.
The LP parameter controls the feedback low
pass filter.
DYNAMIX
The Dynamix dynamics processor can be
used for increasing the overall sound level of
a track or pattern. It can also be used to
enhance or reduce transients.
ATK - Attack
REL - Release
THRS - Threshold
MIX - Dry / Wet Signal Mix
RAT - Ratio
GAIN - Makeup Gain
RMS - RMS Measure Speed
INP - Input Signal Amplification
The Attack (ATK) parameter sets the attack
time from 0.5 ms to 100 ms.
The Release (REL) parameter sets the
release time from 50 ms to 5 s.
The Threshold (THRS) parameter controls
the compressor knee threshold.
Signal Mix (MIX) adjusts the output between
the original “dry” signal and the “wet” signal.
The Ratio (RAT) parameter sets the com-
pression ratio between 1:1 and 1:255.
The Makeup Gain (GAIN) parameter can be
used to adjust the output level of the
Dynamix.
The RMS Measure Speed (RMS) parameter
adjusts the sensitivity for very quick changes
in the signal. High RMS values make
Dynamix less influenced by very quick signal
changes. Setting RMS to zero gives a peak
detector and a higher RMS makes dynamix
look more at the over-all energy level of the
signal.
