A-8 Appendix A: MACHINE REFERENCE
Modulator 2 frequency is controlled by the
2FRQ parameter by Listed Frequencies.
The 2VOL parameter controls the final out-
put volume of the second FM block. For high
2VOL settings amplitude feedback is intro-
duced to emphase the effect on the carrier.
The TONE controller is a general controller
for the FM frequencies generated in the sys-
tem. High TONE settings introduce more
high frequency harmonic contents.
FM+PARALLELL “FM+PAR”
FM+PARALLELL is the bombastic FM+
machine. It brings three exact copies of the
most efficient FM+ structure.
1FRQ - Modulator 1 Listed Frequency
1ENV - Modulator 1 Volume & Envelope
2FRQ - Modulator 2 Listed Frequency
2ENV - Modulator 2 Volume & Envelope
3FRQ - Modulator 3 Listed Frequency
3ENV - Modulator 3 Volume & Envelope
TONE - Harmonics Control
1-3FRQ parameters set the Listed Frequen-
cies for Modulator 1-3.
The 1-3ENV parameters control the final out-
put volume of the FM blocks, as described by
the FM+ Envelope Figure.
The TONE controller is a general controller
for the FM frequencies generated in the sys-
tem. High TONE settings introduce more
high frequency harmonic contents.
FM+DYNAMIC “FM+DYN”
FM+DYNAMIC is the wildest of the FM+
machines, where the frequencies are set
continuously instead of using the Listed Fre-
quency.
1FRQ - Modulator 1 Linear Frequency
1FEN - Modulator 1 Frequency Envelope
1VOL - Modulator 1 Volume & Feedback
1VEN - Modulator 1 Volume Envelope
2FRQ - Modulator 2 Exponential Frequency
2ENV - Modulator 2 Volume & Envelope
2FB - Modulator 2 Feedback
Modulator 1 offers linear continuous fre-
quency control through the 1FRQ.
An exponential envelope, trigged for all note-
on’s played is added to the Modulator 1 fre-
quency. The speed and depth of the enve-
lope is controlled with the 1FEN parameter.
The 1VOL parameter controls the final out-
put volume of the first FM block. For high
1VOL settings amplitude feedback is intro-
duced to emphasis the effect on the carrier.
