Appendix A: MACHINE REFERENCE A-5
DIGIPRO
DigiPRO offers raw digital waveforms, which
can be put into animated life. The BeatBox,
which is a part of DigiPRO, offers a percus-
sive toolbox shaped in the traditions of the
Machinedrum E12 synth.
DIGIPRO WAVE “DPRO-WAVE”
The sounds of DigiPRO WAVE are harsh
and electrical and stand out in the mix.
DigiPRO WAVE is a crunchy waveform
based synthesizer, proud of its digital herit-
age. Often it comes to its best when tamed
with a filter.
WAVE - Waveform
WP - Wave Phase
WPM - Wave Phase Modulation (sweep)
WPRS - Wave Phase sweep note-on ReStart
SYNC - Hard Sync
SFRQ - Hard Sync Frequency
The Waveform (WAVE) parameter selects
from the 32 original 512-byte 12-bit wave-
forms.
The Wave Phase (WP) parameter can trans-
form between the Waveform currently
selected, and the next one. The 128 steps
between can offer a wealth of new sounds.
The Wave Phase Modulation (WPM)
parameter can offer continuous sweeps over
the Wave Phase range. When WPM is set to
zero the sweep is turned off. Higher WPM
settings increase the speed of the Wave
Phase sweep.
If Wave Phase ReStart (WPRS) is activated,
the Wave Phase sweep controlled with the
WPM parameter will restart from the WP
position each time a note-on is played.
The Hard Sync (SYNC) offers the following
selections:
OFF - Hard Sync is turned Off
SFRQ - Hard Sync is active, frequency from SFRQ
PRCH - H.Sync is active, frq from Previous Channel
If SYNC is set to SFRQ, the source fre-
quency is taken from the Hard Sync Fre-
quency (SFRQ) parameter. If it is set to
Previous Channel (PRCH), the source fre-
quency is taken from the track with the index
one lower than the current track.
DIGIPRO BEAT BOX “DPRO-BBOX”
The DigiPRO BeatBox offers a percussive
toolbox, with carefully processed 12-bit sam-
ples. Unlike the other machines, different
sounds are generated depending on which
key is played.
PTCH - Coarse Pitch
STRT - Sample Start Position
RTRG - Retrigs
RTIM - Retrig Timing
A total of 24 percussive sounds are available
in the BeatBox. The sounds fill two octaves
starting at C-3.
C-3 - Bass Drum 1
C#3 - Snare Drum 1
D-3 - Tom 1
D#3 - Tom 2
E-3 - Bongo Congo
F-3 - Clap
F#3 - Rim Shot
G-3 - Cow Bell
G#3 - Closed HiHat
A-3 - Open HiHat
A#3 - Ride Cymbal
H-3 - Crash Cymbal
