Through a firmware update, a MONILOG
®
MicroShockDetector plus receives an updated
application program if this update file is provided by the manufacturer.
Prior to the firmware update the following points must be observed:
• The activation of the update mode can only be carried out, if the MONILOG
®
MicroShockDetector plus is switched off. If your device is still switched on, please switch it
off.
• The activation of the update mode can only be carried out, if no password has been
configured in the MONILOG
®
MicroShockDetector plus. Follow the instructions in Section
4.3.8 in the sub-item „Configure password and access rights“ to deactivate the password.
• Have ready the included mini USB cable and plug one end of the cable in a free USB port
of your computer for the preparation. Do not plug the USB cable into the MONILOG
®
device yet!
• Ensure that on your computer no MONILOG
®
Analyzer programmes are executed.
Note:
Back up all measurement, diagnostics and configuration data of your device prior to the firmware
update to prevent a possible data loss. The memory is reset to default settings.
In the switched off condition of the device, connect the USB cable and keep the CONTROL button
pressed (>6 seconds, STATUS LED lights up green) until the STATUS LED starts flashing red with
1 Hz. The update mode is active now. It only remains active as long as the USB cable is connected.
If the CONTROL button is released before the detection of the update mode, the device starts the
normal operating mode.
Proceed now with the instructions according to chapter 6.2 „CARRYING OUT UPDATE“.
