always follow the price. Cashiers will then ring up
the cent column automatically for items up to 99¢.
Placing the cent sign after the price helps you in
other ways. On some print formats, the numbers 6
and 9 can be read upside down. Without a cent sign,
something priced at 99 could be registered at 66.
