INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

If installing multiple cap lights, it is often easier to “daisy

chain” the wire by connecting them through the railing and

only running one wire through the surface of the deck to the

transformer. To do this, predrill a 3/8” hole in the area hidden

by the rail and/or brackets and run wire from previous light

into the next post where it can be connected to your next post

cap light. Connect these wires with the terminating light’s

pigtails using a silicone-filled wire nut (white to white, black to black).

Loosen screws on the side of the light and slip it onto the top

of the post. Use a hand screwdriver to tighten these screws

to a snug fit.

You can also predrill holes in the post where fasteners connect to allow a flush fit.

To do this, slip on the cap and mark the screw positions, then remove the cap and

use a 3/16” bit to drill holes through the post on both sides. Be sure the area being

drilled is free of wires. Replace cap and tighten screws until they fit flush with the

cap surface.

TIP: Pigtails can be tested with a 9-Volt battery to be sure they are connected correctly.

NOTE: Silicone-filled wire nuts are not included.
